Agitated Media Mill

EIRICH has developed the continuously operating agitated media mill MaxxMill® which, thanks to its special design, offers many advantages for users in terms of:

  • Costs and quality
  • Process control and service

Especially suitable for:

  • Dry grinding to below 5µm
  • Iron-free wet grinding
  • Re-grinding (dry / wet) in order to optimize existing grinding systems

In order to adapt the system to different applications:

Various geometries and agitators are used
Hard metal, ceramics and polyurethane are used as anti-wear protection
EIKORIT® grinding balls (made of oxide ceramics) and EIDURIT® grinding balls (made of steel) are available and offer high grinding performance and low wear

Dry grinding – as low as below 5µm

  • with a closed grinding circuit
  • with a separate fine classifier circuit

Depending on the requirements, this system is suitable for grinding:

  • Aluminum oxide
  • Bauxite
  • Bentonite
  • Calcium carbonate
  • Feldspar
  • Frit
  • Kaoline
  • Siliceous earth
  • Pigments
  • Quartz
  • Special cement
  • Talc
  • Clay
  • Zirconium silicate

Iron-free wet grinding

For the production of suspensions to less than 10µm

  • Superfine grinding
  • De-agglomeration
  • Dispersion
  • Activation of particle surfaces

Depending on the requirements, this system is suitable for grinding:

  • Aluminum oxide
  • Calcium carbonate
  • Engobes
  • Ores
  • Ferrites
  • Glazes
  • Clay
  • Ceramic slurry

Wet / dry re-grinding

To optimize existing grinding systems, regrinding of suspensions and dry solids
Depending on the requirements, this system is suitable for regrinding

  • Ceramic slurries
  • Glazes
  • Special types of cement
  • Filler materials
  • Ores
  • Ferrites
